Young Leadership Council Co-Chairs

 

Stephanie E. Knepper

Co-Chair

 

As an associate at SKA Marin, Developers, Consultants and Owners in affordable housing and community development, Ms. Knepper’s responsibilities include representing the firm for the public review process of projects, developing a strategic plan for the firm’s growth, interfacing with project counsel, and acting as a project manager.  During her tenure, she has been involved with senior projects in New York City and Long Island. In addition, Ms. Knepper is involved in the review of federal, local and state legislation and programs affecting affordable housing.

 

Ms. Knepper has experience as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Alan Honorof of the New York Supreme Court.  She has held internship positions at U.S. Senator Charles Schumer’s Washington D.C. and NYC offices, and for former Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields.  During law school, Ms. Knepper was Notes Editor of the Cardozo Public Policy and Ethics Journal and President of the Real Estate Law Students Association. 

 

Ms. Knepper has a B.A from Brandeis University and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Christopher M. Herrmann

Co-Chair

 

As an underwriter for Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. Mr. Herrmann manages developer relations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio, upstate New York and across the New England states. He analyzes, evaluates and bids on affordable housing investment opportunities that leverage the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and the Federal Historic Tax Credit.

 

He presents investment proposals to Enterprise’s Investment Committee and coordinates transaction closings with developers, attorneys and accountants.

 

Since joining Enterprise in 2006, Mr. Herrmann has facilitated the successful closing of more than 20 transactions with a total of approximately 1,300 units and over $162 million in LIHTC equity. These transactions have been diverse and include family, senior, special needs, HOPE VI, mixed-finance, scattered-site, federal energy credit and preservation projects.

 

Mr. Herrmann has been involved in housing finance since 2005. Before joining Enterprise, he worked with John Hancock Realty Advisors in Boston, Mass., where he participated in the direct investment of affordable housing projects utilizing LIHTCs, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits and state tax credit programs.

 

Mr. Herrmann graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a BS in business administration and a dual concentration in finance and entrepreneurship.
